Family Visitation Expectations and Guidelines

What are the Visiting Hours?

Due to screening and monitoring requirements, facility entry for visitation is only allowed when personnel are available for screening. Visitation is by appointment only and is subject to change:

➢Visitation appointments can be made by calling Deb/Chris at 518-642-3476 Monday thru Friday 9am to 3pm.  If Deb/Chris are unavailable please leave a message and they will return your call.  Weekend appointments need to be scheduled by Friday at Noon

All visitors must enter through the front entrance for screening. 

Is Physical Contact with Residents Allowed?

Visitors may have close physical contact (hug, hand hold, etc.) ONLY WHEN

➢Resident is fully vaccinated (at least 2 weeks after vaccination series completed)

➢Resident and visitor are masked

➢Hand hygiene is performed before and after visit

What are the COVID Guidelines for Visitation?

➢Visitor vaccination and testing is strongly encouraged but not required for entry

➢Screening is required prior to entry 

➢Wear a mask at all times covering nose and mouth –without exception

➢Follow the direction of the staff

➢No more than 2 visitors at a time per resident (<16 must be accompanied by an adult)

➢ Appointment length will be for 30 minutes

➢Sanitize hands before and after each visit and any “touch points’ at the end of your visit

➢Maintain 6 feet of social distance

➢Visit outdoors whenever possible (staff will bring residents outside)

➢Walk directly to visiting area; do not enter any other part of the building

➢Avoid contact with staff and other residents at all times

➢Access to dining areas during mealtimes or resident group activities are strictly prohibited

Visitation is NOT allowed if the resident is on isolation; including precautionary isolation such as following exposure or a new admission. In the event any resident or staff test positive, visitation will be put on hold pending additional testing.
